Review
The standout feature of the Carrier Blue range is the 10-year residential warranty covering the cylinder, PCB, and compressor — currently the longest warranty of any integrated hot water heat pump in New Zealand.
Alexa and Google Home compatibility adds smart home integration without needing a dedicated app. The 300N7’s recovery rate of 93 L/hr (in hybrid mode using the electric element) and 70 L/hr in heat pump is among the fastest for integrated units.
When the air temperature drops below 5°C, the heat pump will automatically select E-heater mode turning on the element to boost hot water. This mode is suitable for temperatures down to -20°C. This does mean higher energy consumption during these temperature ranges.
Your settings are also retained in a power outage. Choose ECO - heat pump only - mode to ensure your element is not on.
The electric magnesium bar, used to reduce water scale, needs replaced every 1-2 years.
These units share a platform with the Trade Depot/Midea range (same GMCC compressor and similar specifications) but come through AHI Carrier’s established NZ distribution network with professional installer support.
