COP of 5.0 at 18°C ambient is strong, and the R290 refrigerant (GWP 3) is the lowest-impact option available.
The Calitec WH-70 is a genuinely unusual product in the NZ market — it uses a water circulation system rather than the refrigerant-to-tank approach of most heat pumps. The outdoor mono block heats water directly and circulates it to the separate cylinder, which means the cylinder can be positioned up to 20 metres away and placed either indoors or outdoors. Allowing a lot of flexibility over placement.
